THIRD GENERATION

57. Emma HANRATTY ⁽⁷⁾⁽³⁾ was born on 23 Nov 1883. She was baptized on 25 Dec 1883 in Ste. Anne's Calumet Is.. She died on 19 Nov 1934 in Campbell's Bay, Quebec. My mother died of thyrotoxicosis just before my 10th birthday. She was 49. She had a thyroidectomy several years before her death but went into heart failure and died after a protracted illness. Stella her daughter, a R.N. came home and nursed her during her terminal illness.

Her Godparents were Jerome McGrath and Helen Shea.

She was married to Daniel ROBILLARD (son of Joseph ROBILLARD and Winnifred O'BRIEN) on 8 Apr 1902 in Precious Blood Church, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.. Daniel ROBILLARD⁽³⁾ was born on 23 May 1871 in Pontiac Co.,Quebec. He was baptized on 23 Jun 1871 in Ste. Anne's Calumet Is.. He died on 20 May 1954 in Campbell's Bay, Quebec. My father built a home in Campbell's Bay at the time of his marriage and lived there until he died. He initially sold farm machinery and later worked as Crown Lands Inspector for the Provincial government. This was a political appointment and he was laid off every time the Liberals lost an election as was customary in those days. After his retirement Clifford took over the house and my father lived with him.

The registry at Ste. Anne's shows he was 4 mos. old at the time of his baptism. If this is correct he was born in Feb.

Godparents were (unreadable) Deroin and Julie St.Julien

The 1881 Census shows him at his father's farm in Clarendon Township, Pontiac. It gives his age as 8 yrs. Emma HANRATTY and Daniel ROBILLARD had the following children:

122 vii. Joseph Erick Daniel ROBILLARD⁽⁸⁾ was born on 16 Dec 1914 in Cambell's Bay,Que.. He was christened on 23 Dec 1914 in Vinton,Que.. He died on 11 Nov 1918 in Cambell's Bay,Que.. 4 years old. Died the day the war ended.
