Notes for Buelah Mae Miller: Nora Miller, mother of, Beulah Mae Skinner blamed the baby and Pearl for Beulah's death. Fern Lyles said , " Nora cussed the baby an called her a little bastard and said you made me lose my daughter." " Pearl cried his eyes out and Nora said you caused me to lose her too. " Pearl truly loved Beulah and was in a state for a long time." Mom remenbers hearing Grandma said ,'I'm dieing Dad, Dad I'm Dieing" Uncle Troy told me that Grandma made all their clothes, on an old treadle sewing machine, after they all went to bed. He said she had vein all buffed out and her legs hurt her and he would sit on the floor and rub her legs. What a sweet boy. Someone told me she made Samon patties a lot. I wouldn't think they would have it in a can back then. I make them all the time too. She made all the kids clothes and they were always dressed nice. She must have loved being a mother and how awful was it to know she was dieing and leavine them. She also had a temper and one of the kids said," Boots on the war path. |

Great Grandma and pa Skinner took care of the younger children, except Emma and for some reason was given to a Neighbor, until Great-Grandpa died. He sleep in the rain with no food for three days. He had no place to go. He walked once for many many miles to see if Grandpa would buy him some shoes and was turned down. Grandpa told him to get a job. He never asked for anything else. She donated her body, but has a tombstone with Harry is at Fieldon. Aunt Inez's body was so twisted, from Atheists, with pain She was very limited at what she could do I never heard her ever say , "Why Me" or even complain She was so very calm and peaceful and glad to see you Aunt Inez told her Dad picked up her paycheck and sent it to her step sister to come and visit live with Grandpa and Nancy.
