Although we are not very large in number, there are several branches of the Ruette d'Auteuil (Dauteuil/d'Auteuil/D'Auteuil) family in North America.
I started my search with a small branch to which I belong, and have traced it back to my ancestors' arrival in Canada (New France) in 1648... some 360 years.
At this time, I am most interested in the French connection, and wish to build on my knowledge base for the generations that came before the move to Canada. I would welcome discussion, and information, if anyone has any clues on the ancestry of Denis-Joseph Ruette.
