bullet Augustus RULO was born in 1875 in Richwoods,Mo. He died in 1932 in Blackwell,Mo. He was buried in Blackwell Cemetary, St. Francios Co, Mo. It was told to me that Guss was a very hard man. Elizabeth, Guss's daughter, said Guss was mean to Leo. Leo went away from home to find work and he would visit the family and occasionally spend the night. But Gus would always start trouble with him. On the last visit Leo made home Gus riped off Leos shirt just to be mean.

Just a few months before Gus died Theresa ran off with another man, not her second husband Peter Goldin. Teresa left the chidren with Gus, when Guss died the children remaining at home were put in a catholic orphanage. The children were Elizabeth, Rose, Matt, Eddie, and possibly Clarence.

Catherine blamed her mother for his death. She said he died of a broken heart. Elizabeth also told the story.
Guss died of heart failure, he had the hick ups for over a week. Apparently making his heart weak.

It is also told that the Rulo's are very bad about fighting amongst themselves. They were very poor and also moved alot.

Leo spent time in the Penn. because his brother borrowed his car one night and went out and stole some chickens. Leo would not tell who it really was so he took the blame and did the time.

Leo and Laura was married twice. When Leo went to the Penn., Laure left and married another man. When Leo got out he married his second wife, Later divorced and Leo and Laura remarried.

Leo and Laura adopted Lonnie and Lee, who belonged to Leona.

Leo was loved by all, he was known as Pappy. He played the accordian, orgon, and I believe the guitar. He was a happy person, I remember him the most laughing with his arm in the air, and his pipe in his mouth. He was a great grandfather and is missed very much.
