I am researching the Cobb families and James families in Oconee County, South Carolina - Westminster, Long Creek, and Walhalla areas. The birth dates start around 1810.
Messiah Long, Frances Cobb, Lum James and wife Verbie Alice Swafford. Most of the information that I need to find is the Lum James Family - sons: Jesse Gordon and Simon; daughters: Nannie, Josie, and Mary. Our grandfather Gus Warren James was their brother.
Also, am trying to find more information on Steve Cobb - our grandmother, Viola Cobb, was his daughter. He was married twice = Alice and Creesie. He also had Alice, Beulah, Vernie Mae, and Carrie - and a son Carl.
His father was Balos (Balys) E. Cobb.
