Married by H.B. Jenkins.

Place of marriage --Ella Parkin

Witness James Parkin

James father was a Bush, and Margaret had him out of wedlock, he may have been related to Rebecca Bush

He was raised by Samuel M. Jenkins and his mother Margaret.

Pat Roberts had James as Issac's son. However, i Had heard another version from Bertha "Granny" Ann Burnett Creek.

The parents of James Smith Creek were not married. James' death certificate states that Margaret Creek was his mother and his father was unknown. Margaret was Issac's sister.

According to James Smith Creek's granddaughter, Elizabeth Creek Crowe, James' father and mother was not married. James father's last name was bush and was from an Indian tribe. James Smith Creek changed, took or was given the Creek instead of the Bush name.

When James died he was standing and singing in church and fell backwards.

I was thinking being a lot of these people all came from the same area, that the Bush could be related to Issac's mother, who was Rebecca Bush. I am just wondering, i don't have any idea for sure. Rebecca was the daughter of William Bush and Sarah Redford.

The 1850 Fed Census for Monroe County, Kentucky and James' death certificate proves Margaret Creek is his parent.
He was married to Mary Elizabeth PARKER on 29 Oct 1864 in at Ella Parkin's, Monroe County, Kentucky. Witness was James Parkin

11. Mary Elizabeth PARKER (1) was born on 14 Jul 1842. She died on 30 Jan 1922 in Monroe County, Kentucky. Cause of Death: Intra Cranial Hemorrhage She was buried in Gamaliel Cemetery, Gamaliel, Kentucky. Cause of Death: Intra Cranial Hemorrhage.

Never able to find a Hickinson Parker in the census indexes. However, have been able to find a Hickerson Parker twice. But when I looked up the 1850 census for Monroe County Kentucky, I found that "Hickison" was how it was spelled. I still lean to the theory that his name was pronounced Hickerson; becuase Samuel "Pa" creek's middle name was Hickerson.

Elizabeth's mother was Isabel Ferguson. I hve been told that she came to th USA from Ireland, but the 1850 census says she was born in Tennessee.

Mary Elizabeth was always called Elizabeth; and that is how she is listed on the 1850 census. The only time I have seen her as Mary Elizabeth is on Samuel's death certificate. Children were:
