6. John Henry HELLMANN

to America when he was about 14 years old, he is said to have traveled by himself,
no other family members. He died in 1948 in Sac County, Iowa. He was buried
in 1948 in Nemaha Delware Cemetery, Nemaha, Iowa. John came to America when
he was 14 years old. He came over here by himself. He was married to Sarah RICHARDSON
on 2 Feb 1899 in Warren County, Missouri. 7.
Sarah RICHARDSON(1) was born on
26 Jul 1882 in Warren County, Missouri. She died on 10 May 1977 in Albert City,
Iowa. She was buried on 12 May 1977 in Nemaha Delware Cemetery, Nemaha, Iowa.

Sarah Hellmann
Mrs. Sarah Hellmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Richardson was born July 26,
1882 at Warren County, MO. Mrs. Hellmann was united in marriage to Henry Hellmann
on February. 2, 1899 at Warren County.
They were blessed with three children: Roy Hellmann of Nemaha, Mrs. Edna Combs,
Nemaha, and Mrs. Marie Ryherd of Alta. Henry and Sarah spent their years farming
in the Schaller and Nemaha area. Sarah continued to live in this area after
the death of her husband. The past five years she has been a resident of the
Pleasant View Home of Albert City, where she passed away Tuesday, May 10, 1977.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and four sisters.
She leaves to mourn her three children, one sister-in-law, Mrs. Irene Richardson
of Sac City; 13 grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren, nieces and
nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Sarah Hellmann was a faithful member of the Nemaha United Methodist Church
and a member of the United Methodist Women, until her health failed. Her life
reflects the love and concern of the community and church.
Services
Services were held Thursday, May 12, at the United Methodist Church in Nemaha
with the Rev. Peter Peterson officiating. Soloist was Mrs. Scott Waldstein accompanied
by Mrs. Myron Ohrtman, organist.
Attendants were Robert Ryherd, John Ryherd, Charles Ryherd, Floyd Ryherd, Keith
Comes and Rayburn Hellmann.
Farber and Otteman funeral home was in charge of arrangements with burial in
the Nemaha cemetery. Children were:

Roy Hellmann
Services for Roy Hellmann, 77, of Nemaha were held June 1 at the United Methodist
Church of Nemaha. Mr. Hellmann passed away suddenly at his home on May 30,
1977. Burial was in the Nemaha cemetery under the direction of the Farber and
Otterman funeral home of Sac City.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Donald Toomer and Valerie Toomer. Attendants were
Cecil Hatch, John Irwin, Marvin Mooney, E.H. Wedeking, Cleo Johnson, and Marvin
Peters.
Roy was born December 18, 1899, in St. Louis, MO. He moved to the Early-Nemaha
community with his parents at an early age. He continued to farm in the community
until his retirement in 1973.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Nora, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Hellmann.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Rayburn Hellmann of Ankeny;
two grandchildren, Tom Hellmann of Ankeny, and Lee Ann Quinn of Des Moines; two
sisters, Mrs Edna Comes of Nemaha and Mrs. B.D. Ryherd of Alta; and many relatives
and friends.

HELLMANN(1) was born in 1903. She
died in Oct 1981 in Iowa. She was buried in Oct 1981 in Nemaha Delware Cemetery,
Nemaha, Iowa.
