Carlos "Carlie" Ryherd, 54, Alexander School Rd., Gamaliel, died Jan 13, 2003, at the Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
He was a farmer and member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church.
Born in Monroe County on Sept 9, 1948, he was the son of Carl and Lera (England) Ryherd, Gamaliel, and the husband of Barbara (Simmons) Ryherd, who also survives. They were married Feb. 3, 1981
Other than his wife and parents, survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tony Ryherd, Louisville, Scott and Paul Smith, Bowling Green; a daughter and son-inlaw, Tina and Jeff Jewell, Lucas; three brothers, Wade, Charles and Barry Ryherd and a sister, Judith Bartley, all of Gamaliel; and four grandchildren, Jordan and Jenna Beth Jewell and Matthew and Jessica Smith.
Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Jan. 16 , at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel, with Bro. Bobby Forshee officiating. Burial was at the Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
Serving as pallbearers were: Ted England, Billy Jay Burnett, Ricky Short, Doug Ryherd, Larry Turner and Don McConnell. Honorary pallbearers were: Jarred and Jimmy Ryherd, Stanford Belcher, Ricky and Clarence England, J. W. McConnell, Donald Muse, Mike Brown, Bob "butch" Whitis, Donald Sweney, Garron Pare, Grady Short, Bill Schofner, Dell Brooks, Junior Walker and Timmy Strode.

He was married to Sandra Sue GENTRY. Sandra Sue GENTRY ⁽²⁾ was born on 1 Dec 1949. Carlos Edwin (Carlie) RYHERD and Sandra Sue GENTRY had the following children:
