1. Henry Edward SALE was born on 26 Jul 1901 in Peru, IL.⁽¹⁾ He was baptized on 18 Aug 1901 in Peru, IL.⁽¹⁾ He was baptized at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Ed Greiner was his godfather. He died on 18 Sep 1975 in Spring Valley, IL. He died of a sudden heart attack at the kitchen table after having come in from working on the farm. He was buried on 20 Sep 1975 in Peru City Cemetery. Services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church, Peru; Rev. W. C. Liefeld officiating. He was a farmer in Spring Valley, IL.⁽²⁾ He worked his father's farm in Peru until he purchased his own farm in Spring Valley in 1939. His father-in-law, Robert Paton, helped provide the down payment. He was also known as Hans. ⁽²⁾ This term was used in in his youth. He had diabetes.
