child ii. Pierre AVIÉNY was born about 1663 in Abriés, Haute-Alpes, France. (269) He emigrated in 1685. (270) He left France with his brother, Daniel. On November 9, 1685 they are in Geneva; on November 30, 1685 they are in Zurich; in December 1685 they are in Schaffhausen. Pierre appears again in Zurich on January 19, 1686 and is then instructed to go to Schaffhausen. He received support in Hofgeismar (Germany) at the end of March 1686 and then in Frankfurt on April 23, 1687. His registry there shows that he "wants to go to Heidelberg". He most likely settled in Langenzell but then had to flee the French invasion in 1688. He is found to be in Schaffhausen with his wife on December 2, 1688, then in St. Gall on March 27, 1689. Last mention of him occurs in Frankfurt on February 27, 1690. He never registers in Wilhelmsdorf. He died after 1690. There is no record of him after this time. He was also known as Pierre Aviény-Olivet. (271)
