He was also known as Heinrich. His name appears "Henry Wiest" on a

Jun 1835 in Bonlanden, Württemberg, Germany.
(45) 11. Anna Catharina
FÜGEL
was born on

(46)(47) Records in Bonlanden
cite February 1. Her headstone and US memorial cards cite February 2. The town's
complete name is Bonlanden auf dem Fildern. It is south of Stuttgart, a bit northwest
of Aich. She was confirmed in 1831 in Bonlanden, Württemberg, Germany.
(48) She immigrated about 1878.
(49) This date is determined from Death Record which states she had
been in this state for 24 years. However, 1900 Census cites 1880. She appeared
on the census in 1900 in Peru, IL.(50)
She is living in Dimmick Township. She appears as "Katherine Wuest",
age 83, a widow. She is boarding with the Rhyan family. The Census gives her
birth as February 1817. It also indicates she immigrated in 1880; she was the

Katharina WÜST was born on 10 Jan 1837 in Aich, Württemberg, Germany.
(51) She was confirmed in 1851 in Aich, Württemberg,
Germany.(52) She resided before 1876
in Aich, Württemberg, Germany. According to the Aich Family Register the
family left the area c. 1876. It appears they were heading for Munich. It is
likely that between 1876-1880 they left for US (the "Peters" family
was known by Sale relatives in Illinois.) She died before 1900. Her mother
appears on the 1900 Illinois Census. It states she was the mother of 4, 2 still
living. We know her sisters Carolina Luisa and Anna Maria were still living;
Rosina died earlier in 1900 - therefore, the other deceased child must be Anna
Katharina. A photo exists of a family group - parents, 3 boys and one girl.
The mother is identified as "Mrs. Peters ...sister of Mrs. Fred Sale"
(therefore Anna Katharina Wüst Peter). The eldest son, standing, is identified
as Ed Peters father (therefore Jakob Heinrich Peter had a son Ed).
