Albert Curtis Sanford

The death of Albert Sanford was announced in the Pierce County
Herald on November 12, 1925.

A. C. Sanford Passes Away

Albert Curtiss Sanford, for many years a resident of this village and prominent in work of the M. E. church, died Sunday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clarence Bacon, in Ellsworth Township, aged 73 years.

Before coming to Ellsworth, to reside Mr. Sanford was a prominent farmer of the Ono section.

His demise followed an illness of about three years duration. Mr. Sanford had been confined to his bed since last January.

Albert Curtis Sanford was born March 7, 1852, in Ashippun, Dodge county, Wis. He was married on May 24, 1874 to Irene Blair. In 1877, they came to Pierce county and resided at Ono until they moved to Ellsworth in 1898.

To this union were born two children--Dr. Charles W. Sanford, Prarie Farm and Mrs. Clarence Bacon, town of Ellsworth and a sister, Mrs. Louis Borchert, of Chippewa Falls, and eight grand children also survive.

Mr. Sanford has been a member of the Methodist church for over half a century.

The death of Irene Sanford was announced in the Pierce County
Herald on September 19, 1929.

Mrs. Irene Sanford Passes Away

Mrs. Irene Sanford died last Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Bacon, with whom she had made her home for a number of years. Deceased was an old and highly respected resident of this section.

Irene Blair was born at Hartford, Wis., on February 7, 1854 and there spent her youthful days and grew to womanhood. She was married to A. C. Sanford May 24, 1874. They lived in Dodge county for two years, moving to Pierce county in February, 1876 and settling on a farm at Ono where they lived until April, 1899 when they moved to Ellsworth. Here they resided for many years, later making their home with their daughter, Mrs. J. C. Bacon.

Mr. and Mrs. Sanford were blessed with two children, one son and one daughter--Dr. C. W. Sanford and Mrs. Bacon, Mr. Sanford died four years ago. Mrs. Bacon is survived by her two children, two grand children and several other relatives.

Mrs. Sanford surrendered her life to the Christian faith and continued true to the Savior and the Methodist Episcopal church of which she was long a member, until the gracious providence carried her away to a sunnier clime.

Funeral services took place at the M. E. church Sunday afternoon, Rev. Selander officiating. Interment was beside her husband in Maple Grove Cemetery.
