This family was listed as "Belymer" in the 1850 census for Pleasant Twp., Fulton County, IL, Chapman's last name was written "Beclehymer" on their marriage license. They were then listed as "Beckelshymer" in the 1860 Census for Pleasant Twp., Fulton County, IL, This was apparently after the death of Chapman, since he is not listed. And then, when Susan Jane and Rebecca Esther were married in 1865 & 1868, respectively, they spelled their maiden names "Behymer" on their marriage certificates.
