5. Joshua DORSEY was born on 2 Jun 1725. He died on 8 Nov 1747. His heirs were were Henry, Philemon, Joshua,Nichols, Charles, Rachel, Ann Elizabeth.

By the will of Joshua Dorsey of "Major's Choice" he conveyed his share of "Huntington Quarter" to his son Nicholas Dorsey.

There stands today, in sight of Annapolis Junction, an old hipped-roof cottage in good preservation. It was built by Nicholas Dorsey and his wife. Elizabeth Worthington. Daughter of John and Helen (Hammond) Worthington, left to Nicholas Worthington, who married Rachael Warfield and removed to the Seneca River.

This property of Nicholas Dorsey is one of the few estates that has been held by its original owner. It has been handed down a long line of descendants, including the Worthingtons of Howard, of Fredrick, the Masgills of Frederick, the Dorsey's & Warfields of Montgomery, the Dorseys of Texas, of Kentucky, the Balls of Maryland and Virginia and the descends of Rev. Peyton Brown of VA. (No dates given)

Mayor Nicholas Worthington Married Katherine Griffith 1751. He was born 1734 - 1793. Served on Committee of Observation IN in legislature Major of Anne Arundel Co. Militia.

Lieut. Joseph Warfield. 1755 - 1830, ensign and Lieut. in Militia Anne Arundel county, MD Married Elizabeth Dorsey. He and brother Nicholas W. Dorsey, moved to Montgomery County MD after war was over. Received a pension and died there.

He signed a will No date giving in Huntington Quarter. By the will of Joshua Dorsey of "Majors Choice" he conveyed his share of "Huntington Quarter" to his son Nicholas Dorsey.

His will of 1747 conveyed his share of Huntington Quarter in Ann Arundel County Maryland to his son Nicholas

He was married to Anne RIDGELEY (daughter of Henry RIDGELEY and Katherine Ridgley GREENBERRY) on 16 May 1711 in Queen Car. Parish. Anne RIDGELEY died on 11 Dec 1771. She signed a will Will of 1747. She was Oldest daughter of Henry & Katherine Ridgeley. Joshua DORSEY and Anne RIDGELEY had the following children:
