37. Thomas DORSEY
was Marsh may be his middle Name.. This first commissioner of Anne Arundel
County, MD, coming us from Va. with Wm. Durand, he surveyed lands, he surveyed
lands. First upon the severn. He was an active member in every movement of
the proprietary government, in 1658, refused to recognize his right to land.
His Tract know as "Majors Choise" became histories as a long disputed
line dividing the counties of Ann Arundel and Calvert. He Assigned a 100 acres
upon the Chesapeake to Ed. Dorsey and Thomas Manning.
The first Edward Dorsey at the time of his death was living on "Major's
Choise" now Howard County.
He was married. Copy from letter of Mrs.
Bates on May 5, 1927. Thomas DORSEY had the following children:
