84. William Floyd COTTON was born on 25 May 1927 in Tiger Bay, Florida. He died on 21 Aug 1984 in Blue Sink Cementry Marion County. William Floyd Cotton, 57 325 S.W. 124th St. died Tuesday in Munroe
Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. A resident of
Ocala 51 years, Mr. Cotton move here from Alturus, his birthplace and
was a former survey or and a tour bus driver for Silver Spring Shore. He
was a member of Olivet Baptist Church of Ocala; Chairman of the church
cemetery committee; and was an active CBer known by the name of
"Pole-Cat." Survivors include his wife, Ella Mae Cotton of Ocala; two
daughters, Alice Marie Schettler, LaSalle Co. , Debra Champagne , Grand
Fork N.D. Three sons Bobby W. Cotton, Charles Cotton, and Lloyd Cotton.
All of Ocala. Two sister Erlene Maxwell & Lorene Johnson, both of
Apopka; Five brothers Charlie, Jay, Jim, Malcomb,Thomas Cotton. and 13
grandchildren.  He had Social Security Number 267-20-4002. William Cotton was a former surveyor and tour bus driver. He live in Ocala, Florida for 51 years, and he was a member of Olivet Baptist Church of Ocala. He chaired the Church's Cemetery committee. His hobby was CB radio, and he was know as "Pole Cat" on the CB band.


William F. Cotton adoption Bobby, Charles from their dad. And he became a father of three when Alice was born. July 28, 1954.

He was married to Ella Mae Lee COTTON (daughter of Waddie Hubert LEE and Ella Elva Frank LEE) on 1 Aug 1953. William Floyd COTTON and Ella Mae Lee COTTON had the following children:
