Notes for Susanna Biersdorf: Susanna (age 11), Nicholas (age 3) and Elizabeth (age 2) died during the same year (1878). We can assume that it was from some disease or illness that was sweeping the country at the time.
One other note of interest: In visiting the Biersdorf graves in Faribault, MN, we discovered that buried in the same plot with the 3 Biersdorf children was a Herman Schade who died in 1883 at the age of 7 months. The secretary at St. Lawrence Church thought that possibly he was the son of friends of the Biersdorf family who didn't have a plot in the cemetery, so they allowed them to bury him in their plot.
