| I am compiling a book on The Boudes in America, more specifically descendants of John Boude and Susanna (LNU) who came to Freehold, Monmouth County, New Jersey in the late 1600's. He was a brother of Grimstone Boude, whose life has already been traced down to Lady Diana Spencer, the late Princess of Wales. He was her sixth-great-grandfather. Much of the early information is sketchy at best. I am also researching Stillwell, Estill, Allen, Throckmorton, Slocum, McCreary, Johnson, Matthews, which names all stem from John Boude and Susanna _____________. For the most part they lived in New Jersey. The Estills (Wallace and Marcy (Boude) Estill went to Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia and from them are decended the McCrearys, Hugharts. Marcy Boude, dau. of John and Susanna Boude was born 1705/10 in New Jersey and married Wallace Estill, son of John d'Estelle b. 1702 in New Jersey. His will is recorded in Lewisburg, West Virginia, and was written in 1789. Mary Boude b. ca. 1718 m. Ralph Allen b. 1715/20, son of David and Mary (Powell) Allen. Looking for children of Judah Allen b. ca. 1745 m. Margaret _______________; and Elizabeth Allen b. ca. 1747 m. 1767 Jacob Harvey of Shrewsbury, Monmouth, New Jersey. Also interested in descendants of Mary Boude, dau. of John and Ann (Woolley) Boude b. ca. 1790; m. James Johnson. They lived in Howell Twp., Monmouth, N.J. Had one son Hugh Johnson b. ca. 1808; m. maybe Ann Potter. Also looking for Slocums, descendants of Henry and Lydia (Boude) Slocum. She was dau. of John and Ann (Woolley) Boude. b. 20 Jan. 1789. He was son of John and Susan (Wardell) Slocum. Any information will be greatly appreciated and I will gladly share whatever I have or will be willing to help do research with what I have available. |
