Have only just begun my research. Only have immediate family and granparents' names. Also looking for information on my mother's side of the family - Cain. Schnelle is my father's side.
Father's name was Robert Schnelle, Sr., born in Cincinnati, OH. His father was William Albert Schnelle, born in KY; his mother's maiden name was Margaret Rutemeyer, born in Cincinnati, OH (not real sure of birth city or spelling). We believe the name Rutemeyer was changed from Ruthemeyer or Ruthmeyer (from Germany).
My mother's maiden name is Ruby Cain, born in Cincinnati, OH. Her father's name was Thomas Bigelow, born in Lincoln County, KY; her mother's maiden name was Ida Bell Elliott, born in Kings Mt., KY. We believe the name Cain was changed from LeCain or LeKane.
