The Scotts hailed from western Pennsylvania after Alexander Scott and his three sons, Robert G., Thomas A. and Alexader arrived from Ireland circa 1836. The Yows hail from North Carolina after Hans Yow arrived in Philladephia in 1715, he was a Palentine German departing from Rotterdam.
