1. David SHOREY^{(1) (2)} was born on 4 Oct 1801 in Lebonan, York County. Maine.⁽³⁾ He died on 19 Jun 1869 in Grand Falls, Penobscot County, Maine. ⁽⁴⁾ David was crushed by a 4 Ox team that fell on him as he was trying to
cross the river. He was buried on 21 Jun 1869 in Mt. Repose Cemetery Burlington, Penobscot County, Maine.⁽⁵⁾ He was listed in the Passadumkeag census 1830 & 1850 He had 8 children
from his first marriage.

He had 6 children from his second marriage.

He had no children from his third marriage.

There was possibly a fourth marriage but have no info on it at this
time. Have an old picture that Laura Shorey had.

He supposedly married a Dollie Haskell She was born Jan. 25,1825 Whitefield, Me.
She Died DEC. 22,.1904 Enfield, Me At 79 years 10 months 28 days
Her Father was Benjamin Preble and Mother was Olive Blackman His Third Wife.
Her death record is in Enfield, Me.
She died Syncope if Heart.

He was married to Salome S. SMITH on 14 Apr 1826 in Burlington, Penobscot County, Maine.⁽⁶⁾ Salome S. SMITH was born on 19 Apr 1807 in Hampden, Penobscot County, Maine.⁽⁷⁾ She died on 12 Apr 1845 in Burlington, Penobscot County, Maine. ⁽⁸⁾ She was buried on 15 Apr 1845 in Mt. Repose Cemetery Burlington, Penobscot County, Maine. David SHOREY and Salome S. SMITH had the following children:

Nathaniel is the child of James Treadwell and Hannah. They were married in N. H.
This child married Hannah Shorey in Lowell, Me. Daughter of Nathaniel Shorey. They moved to the mid West where Nathaniel died and then the rest of the family moved to California. David SHOREY and Hannah W. PENHALLOW had the following children:

11 ii. Isaac William SHOREY⁽¹⁷⁾ was born on 25 Jun 1854 in Burlington, Penobscot County, Maine. ⁽¹⁸⁾ He died on 30 Dec 1888 in Varney Hill Lowell, Penobscot County, Maine.⁽¹⁹⁾ He brought a pair if moccisons from Flossie Shorey. He went into the
woods to strip bark wearing the moccisons. He fell and broke his neck.
He never married. He was buried on 2 Jan 1889. ⁽²⁰⁾
12 iii. Rachel S. SHOREY was born on 10 Jan 1856 in Burlington, Penobscot County, Maine.⁽²¹⁾ She was at least 15 when she died. She was still listed in the Burlington Church Records at that time. Have not been able to find a death date for her at this time nor a stone in the cemetery.

14 v. Luther SHOREY⁽²²⁾ was born on 31 Oct 1861 in Burlington, Penobscot County, Maine.⁽²³⁾ He died on 31 Jan 1863 in Burlington, Penobscot County, Maine. ⁽²⁴⁾ He was buried on 4 Feb 1863 in Mt. Repose Cemetery Burlington, Penobscot County, Maine.
15 vi. Mary M. SHOREY⁽²⁵⁾ was born on 31 Mar 1863 in Burlington, Penobscot County, Maine. ⁽²⁶⁾ She died on 1 May 1863 in Burlington, Penobscot County, Maine. ⁽²⁷⁾ She was buried on 5 May 1863 in Mt. Repose Cemetery Burlington, Penobscot County, Maine.
