Oscar Licurtis Bass (son of David Hugh Bass and Martha) was born June 28, 1880 in Monroe, NC Union County, and died January 18, 1955 in Newton, NC Catawba County. He married Queen Ollie White, daughter of Lewis White.

Oscar Licurtis Bass moved to NC at age 12 when his Dad & Mom died. Dad was a well digger & died in a well digging accident. Mom died of a heart attack. He was placed in an orphanage until he turned 18 years old.
He had 3 wives. First was Maude Abernathy. Second was Queen Ollie White. Third was Verna Helms
He died January 20, 1955 of Hypertensive Cardiac Vascular Disease.
