Mar 5, 1797. Henry and Catherine were married Oct 2, 1796. It sounds
like the story about Catherine might be true.

Next to him is Polly REYNOLDS who was born 17 Dec 1799-4 Jul 1890.

The execution of the last will and testament of HENRY REYNODS decd. Was
duly proven by the oath of HEZEKIAH HUGHES, GEORGE REEVES and HENRY
REYNOLDS. Subscribing Witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded and
is as follows "In the name of God amen. I Henry Reynolds Sr. of the
County (p 125) of Greene and State of Tennessee considering the
uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound and perfect mind and
memory blessed be Almighty God for the same cauling to mind that it is
appointed for all men once die I do make and ordain this my last Will
and Testament. That is to say princepally and first of all I give and
recommand my soul to God who gave it, and my body to the earth to be
deasantly buried. And as touching sutch wourldly estate wherewith it
hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give demise and dispose
of the same in the following manner and form.
First give and bequeath unto my beloved wife CHARITY REYNOLDS fifty
acres of Land including the dwelling house whare I now live and the
ballance of my land to be divided amongst my beloved children DAVID
REYNOLDS, ELLANDER REAVES, WILLIAM REYNOLDS, JOSEPH REYNOLDS, RICHARD
REYNOLDS divided equally according to quality and quantity DAVID
REYNOLDS including the improvements whare he now lives. ELLANDER
including the improvement whare she now lives. and WILLIAM REYNOLDS at
the upper end of the upper tract all including water to each part.
JOSEPH REYNOLDS to join JAMES KELLY'S and RICHARDS to join ELLANDER'S.
The above named parcels of land to be divided by HENRY RENOLDS JUNR. and
GEORGE REAVES and HEZEKIAH HUGHES according to the above directions. I
give and bequeath unto my beloved wife CHARITY, all my personal estate
during her natural life and all my money in hand and out of hand and all
remaining property at my wife's death to be sold by my executors at a
reasonable credit and to be equally divided amongst my beloved children,
HENRY, PATSEY, DAVID, SALLEY, ELLANDER, WILLIAM, JOSEPH, RICHARD when
all just debts are paid. The above land to be layed of at my death.
Lastly, I do appoint my trusty friends HENRY REYNOLDS and BENJAMIN
REAVES my executors of this my last Will and Testament no requireing
security of them, hereby revoking all other or former wills by me made.
In witness I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighth day of
January A. D. one thousand eight hundred and thirty five.
