She died in Oct 1899 in Wilkes Co., North Carolina. (4) The account published in the Chronicle, was "John Coleman killed his sister-in-law, Mrs. Jim Chambers, then shot himself. Both of BAD Character."

A story told to Ruthi by Emory Coleman on 13 October 1995 was as follows: James Chambers left Dora since she was a triflying woman. One night Dora's barn burned down and she went over to John Coleman's place (apparently, he lived nearby) and they argued in the yard. John Coleman shot her dead and then shot himself and committed suicide. Dora's sister (Nancy) had married this John Coleman and Nancy had died mysteriously in 1889.

Mrs. Eula Sale Correll died at Forsyth Medical Center on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002. She was born May 26, 1913, to the late L. Mansfield and Eulora Mae Jarvis in Wilkes County. Eula was a member of Clemmons First Baptist Church and of Clemmons Chapter No. 373 Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husbands, A. Dick Sale and Lewis E. Correll. Her sons, Donald J. Sale and Linville Max Sale, also preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Dick Sale Jr. and wife, Roberta, of Columbia, S.C.; a daughter-in-law, “Putter” Sale Caudle and husband, Don; a stepdaughter, Sallie Correll Heald of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren, Kitty Sale Konkle (Bruce), Susan Sale Smick and Bob Sale, all of Columbia, S.C., Julia Sale Forrester (Rick) of Chevy Chase, Md., Sharon Sale Terpak (Steve) of Huntersville and Pam Sale Cavenaugh (Ken) of Winston-Salem; two stepgrandchildren, Laura H. Brown of Ontario, Canada and Lois Heald of Winston-Salem; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Pauline Jarvis Clark of Clemmons and Vena Jarvis Johns of Winston-Salem. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by Dr. Robert Phillips at Vogler & Sons Reynolda Chapel. followed by interment at Forsyth Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at Vogler & Sons Reynolda Road Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clemmons First Baptist Church, 3530 Clemmons Road, Clemmons, NC 27012; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
