Johnson was born before 1750. Charles' birthdate is derived from his listing

of his known children may push his birthdate further back.

First to my dear loving wife Hannah Johnson during her life or widowhood all my land and plantations whereon I now live, containing three hundred and sixty and a half acres, the same to be at her disposal in settling my sons Israel and Permanes when for the same at her marriage or decease aforesaid land I gave and bequeath to my above mentioned sons the aforesaid land I gave to my son Israel fifty acres of land lying on the head of the long branch ajoining William Wilson's land. I gave and bequeath to my son Charles Johnson five shillings, and I gave to my son Robert Johnson five shillings, and I gave to my son Joseph Johnson five shillings and my reason for so doing is because I gave them their share of my estate hereintofore when they left me And the balance of my estate I lend to my dear loving wife Hannah Johnson during her life or widowhood and all the balance of my estate I gave to my son Permanes Johnson if he lives with his mother and takes care of her and his sister Alce and keeps them living together as well as he can. And if he should leave his mother and sister then I leave his mother to give him as much of my estate as I gave his brother if his mother can spare it without suffering. And if he goes away and will not live with her and and take care of her and his sister Alce and my desire is that he should live with them and if he will not then if any of his brothers or brothers-in-law will undertake to live with my dear wife and daughter Alce and take care of them and keep them from suffer and till the plantation and not waste the liven, then I gave them that my son Permanes was to have had after my dear wifes death. JohnsonHe was married to Mary Hall. (6) Children were: Janet Diane Johnson , James Dewitt Johnson. Elizabeth
Johnson was born in 1765 in Wilkes Co., North Carolina. Elizabeth's birth
date is derived from analysis of the 1787 through 1840 censuses. In order for
all of those censuses to be correct, she would have to have been born in 1765
or 1766. This calculation differs by 7 to 8 years from the calculation of the
birthdate of the individual believed to be Elizabeth in the 1850 Mortality Schedule.
She died in Oct 1849 in Wilkes Co., North Carolina. (206) Parents: Charles Johnson and Hannah. She was married to James Jarvis about
1786. No marriage record has yet been found. However, the will of Charles Johnson
identifies his daughter Elizabeth as a Jarvis, and other evidence ties the two
families together closely. for example, the will was witnessed by Charles Jarvis,
son of James and Elizabeth, and was dated 1816. In that year, only four married
Jarvises were resident in Wilkes Co.; James Jarvis and his three sons. The three
sons' wives are known from reliable records, therefore Elizabeth can only be
the wife of James Jarvis. It would also be logical based on her probable age.
