Generation No. 3

3. DAVID JAMES3 ANDERSON (JAMES2, JOHN1)5,6 was born 1846 in AL7, and died Aft. 1881. He married ELIZABETH WHITE8,9 in AL, daughter of ELIC WHITE and ??? JAMERSON.

Notes for DAVID JAMES ANDERSON:
David James Anderson (ca.1846-????), the son of James Andreson and his wife. According to family legend, David Andersons father, James died in the Civil war at Vicksberg, Miss.
David and Elizabeth White were married ca. 1867-68, at this time she would have been 17 or 18 years old and according to the 1880 census she had her first child in 1869.
According to the 1880 census of Escambia county Alabama, David and his wife Elizabeth White were living there and both he and Elizabeth were born in Alabama. David's father was born in Ten. and his mother in Ga. while
Elizabeth's Parents were both born in Ala.
In the 1880 census David is listed as a farmer, and they have 5 children at this time, all born in Alabama. This census record is about a year before Carrie's birth and she is not listed and since there is no 1890 census, I doubt
we will find her in a census record with her family except possibly the 1900 census. However there is no listing of the Anderson family in the Alabama, La. or Miss. census records for 1900.

1880 76th Dist. Escambia Alabama Beat #3.
