Notes for E
LIZABETH WHITE:
According to her Widow's Application for Pension In LA, on the date she applied for her Confederate widow's pension, 21 July, 1924, she lists her age as 76, giving her a birth year of 1848. In her statement she said they had resided in Bogalusa, LA for 15 years.
I have on hand her death certificate, it states her age at death to be 77 years. It also gives her birth place as Florida not Alabama, Her mother and father are not listed on her death certificate.
It was a little disappointing that in Elizabeth's death certificate that the place were her mother and father's names should have been there were question marks. We have hit a wall with Elizabeth WHITE.
In the 1920 census records, on hand, Elizabeth is listed as being born in Georgia and both her parents being born in Alabama.

Notes for D
AVID JAMESON ANDERSON:
David James Anderson, the son of James Andreson and his wife. According to family legend, David Anderson's father, James died in the Civil war at Vicksburg, Miss.
David and Elizabeth White were married 6 July, 1868 at this time she would have been 19 years old and according to the 1880 census she had her first child in 1869.
According to the 1880 census of Escambia county Alabama, David and his wife Elizabeth White were living there and both he and Elizabeth were born in Alabama. David's father was born in Ten. and his mother in Ga. while
Elizabeth's Parents were both born in Ala.
In the 1880 census David is listed as a farmer, and they have 5 children at this time, all born in Alabama. This census record is about a year before Carrie's birth and she is not listed and since there is no 1890 census, I doubt
we will find her in a census record with her family except possibly the 1900 census. However there is no listing of the Anderson family in the Alabama, La. or Miss. census records for 1900.

1880 76th Dist. Escambia Alabama Beat #3.
1910 130 Dist. Washington Louisiana Richardson Farms
1920 Precinct 1 Washington Louisiana      Bogalusa

In a record received form the State of Louisiana, Secretary of State, Division of Archives, Records Management, and History, I have received the Widow's Application for Pension # 12581, and it states that D. J. Anderson was enlisted in H Co. of 2nd Alabama Cav.
According to Elizabeth's Pension Application he is buried at Pounds Cemetery, 3 miles south of Bogalusa, LA. One of the witnesses to her statement was B. J. Anderson of Bogalusa, LA and C. M. Hennesy

According to David James Andreson's "Solider's Application for Pension (Civil War, Confederate), he was paroled from the service on May 4, 1865, in Forsyth, GA. at the close of the war. He states that he was a native of Alabama.
He enlisted February 26, 1863 near Brewton, Alabama. At the surrender he was at Charlotte, NC. He states that he became a resident of Bogalusa, LA on December 1, 1907. At the time of his application he had a estate of 3 head of cattle worth about $80.

I also have on hand a handwritten letter from Davd J. Anderson as to his discharge from the army of Alabama.

I also have on hand his death certificate from the State of Louisiana, it gives his birth date as May 2, 1844. It also lists his place of birth as Brewton, Ala. his father as being William Anderson, from Scotland. It gives his mother as Margaret Jamerson with no birth place for her listed. His cause of death was listed as "canciruis of face" (face cancer).

In the 1920 census record, David J. Anderson is listed as being a labaror, not working, and him and Elizabeth have 4 of their grandson's living with them at the time. He and both of his parents are listed as being born in Alabama. The four grand sons listed as living with them are: B. J. age 22, Herman age 7, Buford age 5, and Willieage 3 2/12.
