Neil D. Toms (b. April 18, 1892, d. March 22, 1968)
Neil D. Toms (son of Truman Henry Toms and Ida May Dates) was born April 18, 1892 in NY, and died March 22, 1968 in Lyndonville, NY. He married Irene F. Fisk on January 01, 1914 in Methodist Pasonage, Lyndonville, NY, daughter of George Fisk and Jane Harmer.

The following obituary was posted by the Orleans County Genweb staff and taken from the scrapbooks of Theda Powley Millis of Waterport, NY.
"LYNDONVILLE -- Neil D. TOMS, 75, of 21 Maple Ave., died in his home early today after a lengthy illness. A native of Lyndonville he was born April 18, 1892, the son of Truman and Ida DATES TOMS. Except for a short period when he resided in Buffalo during World War I he had spent his lifetime in Lyndonville.
An electrician by trade, he had been employed by the H. J. Heinz Co. in Medina for 20 years. On Jan. 1, 1914 he married Irene FISK, also of Lyndonville. Mr. and Mrs. TOMS celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in 1964.
Mr. TOMS was a member of United Presbyterian Church of Lyndonville, a member of Yates Lodge No. 675 F & AM, which he served as a master for two terms during the 1920s. A 32nd degree Mason, Mr. TOMS was a member of the Buffalo Consistory. He was also a former chief of [the] Lyndonville Fire Department. During recent years, he was an exempt member.
Surviving besides his widow are one daughter, Mrs. Francis (Theda) POWLEY, Fruit Ave., Medina; four grandchildren, F. Edward, Thomas, Penny and Timothy POWLEY. Also, one nephew, Millard T. SMYTHE of Lyndonville, two great-nephews and one great-great-nephew, as well as several cousins.
Friends may call at the Smythe Funeral Home today and Saturday (2-4 and 7-9) where funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. Richard Billingsley, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in West Ridgeway Cemetery."
