| I am still trying to find out more about the Spottog/Spottag family. My research by now is that everyone in Denmark with this surename comes from the same ancestor, it's only a different spelling of the same name. So belongs the well known actor Jens Jørn Spottag to the same family. The name appears first time in 1858 in the church book in Denmark. Joseph Spottag born abt 1810 immigrated with his family from Liegnitz/Schlesien to Denmark. The first generation of family members lived in Sønderhald county, Gjesing. Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have. |
