"Ensign 2nd Company, North Kingston, Rhode Island, under Captain William Taylor; chosen May 1776. Name appears in military census 1777 N. Kingston-aged between 16-50 'able to bear arms'. Pension statement by Benjamin Cale on file in Pension Office, Washington D.C." -from Lois Jeanne Curran Farrington's application to Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
