Elvin Ayres (son of John Ayres and Harriet Neal) was born January 24, 1848 in Cambridge Twp, and died March 19, 1929 in Addison, MI. He married Addie R Bonney on January 24, 1883 in Plymouth, MI.

Addison, March 19.

Alvin Ayres, aged 81 years, was found dead this morning by his daughter, Mrs A H Thompson, wit whom he had made his home for the last 10 years. He had been in poor health for several years and had suffered from heart trouble. Dr C C Hyde was called and pronounced death due to natural causes.

He is survived by the daughter, Mrs Thompson; two brothers, A J Ayres of Adrian and William Ayres of Springville, and four grandchildren.

A prayer service will be held at the home of Mrs Thompson Thursday afternoon and the funeral service will be held in the Springville church.

The time for the service has not been fixed and further arrangements will be announced later.
