J.B. Ayres Dead, Well Known Atty of Adrian Passes Away; Had Been ill for some time From Paralysis

John B. Ayres passed away at his home on 6 West Hunt Street, Thursday afternoon at 4:30. Deceased had been ailing for about three years. The immediate cause of death was paralysis and kidney trouble. Mr Ayres was born at Springville June 22, 1861, where he passed the early part of his life. He was a graduate of Brooklyn High School; attended Grand Rapids Business College and Adrian College. He also graduated in a law course at the University of Michigan in 1891. January 17, 1889, he was married to Electra J Cooley of Woodstock. Three children blessed this union, two of whom, Ila and Harold, with his wife survive him. After his graduation at Ann Arbor, Mr and Mrs Ayres moved to Adrian, where Mr Ayres has since practiced law. The funeral will be held from the residence Sunday at 12:30 standard. The Maccabees will have charge of the funeral, interment will be at Oakwood.
