Jesse Sylvester Ayres, dock master at the Kennington Ship and Drydock Corp., died Wednesday night at West Jersey Hospital, Camden, NJ. Mr Ayres who lived at 19 Knight Avenue, Collingwood, NJ was 66. He had been with the company 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary, and five children; Miss Bernice, Mrs A Virginia, Elizabeth, NJ; Mrs Jessie Mirachi of NY; Mrs Marion Doughtery and Anthony both of Collingwood, NJ.

Note:
Jesse met his wife Mary when he came to inspect the candy factory she was working in. He later moved to Wheeling, W VA where he worked converting gas into electricity. Jesse changed the spelling of "Ayres" because of a mistake on a land purchase.
