John Fay Ayres (b. July 19, 1891, d. August 25, 1950)

John Fay Ayres (son of Andrew Jackson Ayres and Julia Anne Brighton) was born July 19, 1891 in Woodstock Twp, and died August 25, 1950 in Adrian, MI. He married Edith M Crandall on May 09, 1934.

John F Ayres,61, died Saturday at 11:45 am in his home on Cherry Villa, 4530 West Maumee Street, after a short illness. Mr Ayres was born in Woodstock Twp July 19, 1889. He had been a resident of Adrian and vicinity all his life and since 1934 lived in the Cherry Street Villa. He recently retired from the grocery business.

On May 9, 1934, he married Edith M Crandall who survives along with with one sister, Mrs Neva Jacobs of the Irish Hills and two brothers, Purl E Ayres of Lansing and Gloyd E Ayres of Toledo. He is proceeded in death by his parents Mr and Mrs Andrew Ayres, two sisters Mrs Harriet Friske and Mrs Cora Peavey, and three brothers, Lyle, Neal and Jesse.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 2pm in the Everiss Funeral Home, the Rev A T Cox officiating. The burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery.
