N. H. about 1864. He owned and operated his own Wood & Coal Co in the center
of town between 1867 & 1897. He had all his money in one bank; The Amiskie
Mill Bank (Probably spelled Amoskaeg Mill Bank) that went bankrupt during the
depression. The bank promised to pay back all depositors no matter how long it
took. It paid back Jeremie over the next 40 years. Money he lived on until his
death at age 96. Jeremie was married 4 times. He fathered at least 16 children
with his first wife, Domitille-Angelina Dupuis. There are no children indicated
for the other three marriages.
