Mr. Napoleon St. Gelais, a world war veteran, and Miss Irene E.Lesage were married Christmas day at St. Joseph's rectory. She was attended by Mr. Edward Lesage, while the groom's witness was Joseph St. Gelais. At the close of the ceremony was a reception at the groom's parent's residence on Riverside St. They will make thier home at 187 Perkins St. On his brother, Joseph's Obituary he is said to be living in Manchester, N. JELAIS (Should be St. Gelais), husband of Mrs. Marie (Beland) (Michaelin) should be (Michelin) St. Jelais (sic) died un-expectedly Friday evening. stricken with a heart attack at his home. He was pronounced dead on arrival St St. Joseph's hospital. He was born in Lowell and had been a lifelong resident of this community, making his home at 141 Aiken Street. He was a mechanic. Mr. St. Jelais (sic) was a veteran of World War 1. Besides his wife, he is survived by three stepsons, Arthur, Emile and Roland Michaelin (Sic) . all of Lowell; a stepdaughter, Mrs Rita Poirier of Lowell: two brothers, Edouard and Wilfred St. Jelais,(sic) both of Lowell. Four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Hill, Mrs. Charles Breton, Mrs Cedia McNulty and Mrs. Eva Tougas. all of Lowell. Four grandchildren: Also several nieces and nephews.***November 8, 1956 SERVICES HELD FOR J. N. ST. GELAIS.**** LOWELL---The funeral of Joseph N. St. Gelais, veteran of World War II,(sic) (should be World War I) took place yesterday morning from the funeral home, 744 Merrimack Street. The cortege headed by a flower car, proceeded to St. Jean Baptiste church where at 9 o'clock a funeral mass was celebrated by Rev. Emile Rossignol, O.M.I. The choir under the direction of the organist, Paul E. Letendre, sang the Gregorian requiem mass. At the offertory, the choir sang Domine Jesu Christe and after the "Libera" they rendered De Profundis. Solos were sustained by Edouard Coutu and Paul E. Letendre. There were many floral tributes. Bearers all nephews, were Narcisse St. Gelais, Andre St. Gelais, Rene St. Gelais and Roger Mc Nulty. At the grave Rev. Leo Staves, O.M.I. recited the committal prayers. The firing squad, under the command of Sgt. Lindsay Jackson and composed of Sfc. Roger Wichowski, Sgt. James Gilliam, Cpl. Paul Stevens, Sgt. Herbert Schnipper, Sf. 3 , Jack Payton, Sf 3, Angel Rivera and Pfc. James Funston, fired three volleys over the grave. The flag which had draped the casket was folded by Sgt. Jackson and Sgt. Roger Wichowski, and presented to the widow, Mrs. Marie St. Gelais by Sgt Jackson. Taps was sounded by Pfc. James Funston. Burial took Place in St. Patrick's cemetery under the direction of the Joseph E. Tremblay funeral directors. Parents: Henri (01) ST-GELAIS and Aglaée MARTEL.

He died of a heart attack on 13 Sept, 1965. He was 71 yrs old. His spouse, Elisabeth Cote was killed in an automobile accident 9 June, 1962.
