TENTH GENERATION

402. CLARENCE LEE ADAMS was born on 21 Feb 1929 in KANSAS CITY , KS. He died on 9 Mar 2001 in ATHENS, TENNESSEE. Clarence, born 21 Feb 1929, just ripe for the Korean Police Action when finding his draft number coming up joined the Air Force which sent him to Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. Shortly after joining the Air Force he met Loretta Beatrice Murry of Liberty, Missouri where his family was then living.
The Air Force soon found Clarence not only understood jet engines but that he could teach other men about jet engines also. During his Air Force time at Shepperd Air Force Base he married Loretta and Clarence Lee, Jr was born. The Korean conflict heated up and Clarence was required to go to Korea for a year, serving as a crew chief on jet aircraft.
Upon finishing his enlistment the family returned to the Kansas City, Missouri area where Clarence was hired at the Westinghouse Testing Labratory testing engines, working nights and attending Finley Engineering School during the day. Upon graduation Clarence was hired by Martin Marietta in Littleton, Colorado, by that time Linda Kay born 1955 and Susan Dianne born 1956 had joined the family. Son, Guy Murry, was born in 1960 in Denver, CO.
Clarence's career later took the family to Mississippi, back to Colorado, then to Huntsville, Alabama and last to Chattanooga, Tennessee where Clarence retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority. He and Loretta were divorced in 1981. Clarence married Barbara ---, he and Barbara are divorced. Currently Clarence is working as a real estate appraiser.
Taking after his father and grandfather Clarence is multi talented with the hammer and saw and maybe a few nails sprinkled in, having just completed his third beautiful home in Tennessee which he is enjoying with his companion Jewell Boucher.

He was married to LORETTA BEATRICE MURRY (daughter of GUY BOONE MURRY and LELA LEONA CHRISTIANSON) on 22 Nov 1951 in LIBERTY, MO. He was divorced from LORETTA BEATRICE MURRY in Aug 1981 in HUNTSVILLE, AL. CLARENCE LEE ADAMS and LORETTA BEATRICE MURRY had the following children:
