| This is the research done on the family ancestory of the STONE family from Buffalo,Erie Co., New York, desendants of Adam KAMINSKI, Christian J. SCHROEDER, William FARR and Edward BELL. Most of the information to date is from family members. Some records for verification have been obtained and I am working on obtaining birth and death records of the 1st and 2nd generation decentants of Adam, William and Edward. Other generations have been asked to submit their records for documentation. I am the son of Gerald Otto, who is the son of Otto, who is the son of Martin KAMINSKI, who is the son of Adam KAMINKSI. But, I have not been able to make the link back to Adam. Which would give us the origin information of where in Prussia the family migrated from. Family lore states that Adam may have been a general in the Prussian army. My thanks to David Edward Janes who supplied most of the information of Christian J. SCHROEDER, who is my g-g-grandfather, on my grandmothers side of our family tree. It appears that Suelze, Mecklenburg is now called Bad Suelze, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, which is the oldest Mineral & Mudbaths in North Germany. There are about six SCHROEDER's that live in that area. I plan on writing them to see if there is any genealogical links. I am currently waiting on information from New York State Department of Vital Statics on the Blackburn and Bell side of the family. Being that there are no known relatives alive on either side of these family lines. As for the FARR linage I have written Anna and Guy FARR of Buffalo, New York hoping to obtain information on the maternal side and develop more information there. So far the information from census records is not clear, in 1920 it states William FARR to be from Canada, while in the 1930 census it states him to be from Pennsylvania. In a recent phone conversation with Anna FARR she did confirm that William was from Ontario, Canada. I would hope that if you have any information relating to this linage or site information you would contact me. Also, I am researching family crest, sheilds and tartan and would like any information on such. I have only found crest for the KAMINSKI and SCHROEDER family name. I do have the tartan information on the Clan BELL. |
