64. George STOKES signed a will on Jul 27 1805 in Clarke County, Georgia. (p. 16) GEORGE STOKES. Last Will and Testament, dated July 27, 1805; probated Jan. 29, 1806. Gives to wife SUSANNAH for herself and the small children they have; to son, GEORGE, a minor, the homeplace of the testator, but if he die without issue, then the property to go to testator's son JOHN STOKES. Other devises to his, testator's sons and daughters viz: JOHN, TABITHA, SARAH, MARY, CATHREN, ROBERT and MATILDA. Executors: Wife and son JOHN STOKES. Witnesses: ELAM WARD and ESAU GILES. He died before Jan 29 1806.
