I have only recently begun the search of the Sullivans (My Husband's Family). Any help or suggestions would be welcome.

The Sullivans I an searching lived in Macon County, Tennessee until between 1920 and 1930. My husband's grandfather Arthur Raymond Sullivan passed away in 2003 and was born in 1909. He retired to Florida in the 1960's and when he came back to visit my father-in-law (now deceased) would take him out to the old family farm in Macon County. There was an old out building their that he handmade a lock out of wood and was one of the few people that knew how to work it.

Arthur Raymond Sullivan was born in 1909 in Ada Oklahoma and he has told family that they moved to Texas for a short time before returning to Tennessee. According to Census records Arthur had two older sisters who were born in Indiana. Both of his parents Robert A. and Nealie J. Sullivan were born in Tennessee. Therefore I feel that his family moved from Tennessee sometime before 1905 to Indiana. They then moved sometime before 1909 to Oklahoma as I have then on the 1910 Census there. Sometime after the census was taken they supposedly moved to Texas but I have been unable to find them there. In 1920 I have the family back in Macon County, TN, minus Robert A. Sullivan, who I am assuming died sometime between 1913, birth of last child and 1920 when census was taken. The 1920 Census shows Robert A. Sullivan's wife, Nealie as a widow living with her father-in-law James H. Sullivan and her four children, Edith, Bessie, Arthur and Delmo. Sometime before the 1930 Census was taken they moved to 1632 10th Avenue North, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee and James H. Sullivan was no longer with them or on a 1930 Census anywhere I can find. Any help on filling in some of these blanks would be very helpful.
