Daniel Martin Odom, was injured in the tornado that killed one child and hurt the family. Buford, my Father was also in this storm, but unhurt. Martin was never able to work much after that. He peddled Spices and herb products produced by the Watkins Companies. He would have someone drive him, as he never learned to drive, or could not, in an old Model T Ford and later in an old Model A Ford, through out the country. He then lived in Success, AR. As he was able, he was a business man.
Buford, built up the Grocery Store business, and moved the Martin Odom family to Reyno, where Billie worked in the store to make a living and support the family.
After his wife died, he remarried and moved to the Warm Springs and or Maynard area.
Daniel Martin was a Justice of the Peace (JP) most of his life in Reyno and Success. He was not highly educated, but knew much about a lot. He told me that our family was a mixture of English, Scottish and Irish. I though he did not know of which he spoke. I now find out that he was correct. His grandmother was full blood Scot.

He (or she) died on Mar 25 1913 in Middlebrook, Randolph Co., Arkansas. Killed
in a tornado as a child.

He died on Nov 18 1920 in Revno, Randolph Co., Arkansas.

died on Nov 15 1923 in Success, Clay Co., Arkansas. She was buried in Johnson
Cemetery, Reyno, Arkansas.
