2474. Rev. Billie Lavelle ODOM was born on Jun 25 1926 in Success, Clay Co., Arkansas. He died on Feb 17 1965 in Portageville, Missouri. Died of a stroke at home. He was buried in Kennett Memorial Gardens, Kennett, Missouri. Billie was the youngest of the Martin Odom family. He had to work most of his life to help support the family since Martin was hurt in a storm while a young man.
Billie, finally got his chance to be a Methodist Preacher and while doing that went to College to further his abilities for the Ministry. He married and started a family. His children are now grown and have their own family except for James.
Billie was stricken with a massive stroke and did not survive it. A Lodge in the area built a new Lodge and named it after him. The Methodist Church there have chimes named in his honor. He was a man of God, and greatly loved by all who knew him. amen.

He was married to Virginia JAMES on May 25 1952 in Weona, Arkansas. Virginia JAMES was born on Dec 26 1935 in Arkansas. She was a School Teacher. Rev. Billie Lavelle ODOM and Virginia JAMES had the following children:

child3042 ii. James David ODOM was born on Oct 20 1964 in Missouri. BIO:
James David Odom, son of Billie L. Odom, Methodist Minister, Deceased. James is a Computer Consultant, working for Ajilon Corp. He enjoys Golf as a hobby when able to get away. He enjoys mountain biking, but recently has moved to St. Louis, MO. and started a new job, therefore this hobby will take a back seat.
James has a B.S.B.A degree in Economics, and still working toward more degrees. They come slowly, but surely.
James has not yet found the 'RIGHT' girl, therefore not married.
