83. John SWINDLE was born between 1770 and 1780 in Culpepper Co.(Now Madison Co.), Virginia. He resided Tuscaloosa Co., Alabama in 1836. Sold 800 acres of land to Thomas Johnson (Book M, p. 251) He appeared on the census in 1850 in Walker Co., Alabama. 65 in 1850, living with his son Daniel Swindle. He signed a will in Mar 1852. He died after Mar 1852 in Walker Co., Alabama. Will was written 03/1852. Daniel was a veteran of the war of 1812.

10/06/1836 - John and Dicy sold 800 acres in Tuscaloosa Co., Al to Thomas Johnson.

When Dicy died, John, and his youngest daughter Permelia, moved to Walker Co., Al. to live with his son Daniel. John's death date has not been determined, but it was sometime after 1850. The location of his grave is not known, but is believed to be in a Walker Co. cemetery since. Since he was living with Daniel, his son, they are both probably buried in some cemetery in an unmarked grave.

He was married to Nancy "Dicy" DAILY on Nov 25 1809 in Laurens Co., South Carolina. Nancy "Dicy" DAILY was born about 1790 in North Carolina. She died before 1850 in Alabama. John and Dicy had at least 5 children, 2 boys and 3 girls (1830 census) No info on daughters. John SWINDLE and Nancy "Dicy" DAILY had the following children:

child200 iii. Pernely (Permelia) SWINDLE was born about 1825 in Tuscaloosa Co., Alabama. She appeared on the census in 1850 in Walker Co., Alabama. 25 in 1850. Living,along with her father John, at her brothers home in Walker Co., Al in 1850 census. She died in Walker Co., Alabama. 25 in 1850.
