22. John SWINDLE Sr. was born between 1746 and 1757. He appeared on the census in 1810 in Culpepper Co.(Now Madison Co.), Virginia. #113 John Swindle 20010-21010-00. He died on Aug 20 1839. John moved from Clever Co. Virginia to Boone County, Ky. in 1806.

John served as a private for six months (Capt. Hills Virginia Regiment in 1778) during the Revolutionary War. On 12/03/1832, in Boon Co., Ky he filed for a pension.

On 12/03/1832, in Boone Co., Ky. he filed for a pension. On 08/20/1939, his widow, Hannah, filed for his pension. Again on 09/1843, Hannah (who listed her age as 90) filed for his pension and an affidavit from Elizabeth Daniels, their daughter, was included.

He was married to Hannah WEAVER (daughter of Peter (Hans Dietrick) "Teter" WEAVER Sr. and Elizabeth HUFFMAN) about 1770. Hannah WEAVER was born about 1748. She died about 1850. On 08/20/1839 John's wife, Hannah, files for his pension. Again on 09/04/1843, Hannah (who listed her age as 90) filed for his pension and an affidavit from Elizabeth Daniels, their daughter, was included. John SWINDLE Sr. and Hannah WEAVER had the following children:
