84. John Daniel "Daniel"
SWINDLE was born about 1785 in Virginia. He resided Reedy River, Laurens
Co., South Carolina on Apr 16 1819 in Laurens Co., South Carolina. He appeared
on the census in 1840 in Walker Co., Alabama. He appeared on the census in 1850
in Tuscaloosa Co., Alabama. 65 in 1850. He signed a will on Mar 2 1852 in Tuscaloosa
Co., Alabama. He died before May 3 1852 in Tuscaloosa Co., Alabama. He had
an estate probated on May 3 1852. Daniel was a veteran of War Of 1812.
04/16/1819 a land list of Laurens Co., SC. shows Daniel as the owner of land
situated on the Reedy River.
Moved to Alabama about 1820.
Will probated 05/03/1852 states "...it is my wish that all of my Estate
be sold (after the death of Nancy) and (be) equally divided between all my children...(not
named)."
When Dicy died, John, and his youngest daughter Permelia, moved to Walker Co.,
Al. to live with his son Daniel. John's death date has not been determined,
but it was sometime after 1850. The location of his grave is not known, but
is believed to be in a Walker Co. cemetery since. Since he was living with Daniel,
his son, they are both probably buried in some cemetery in an unmarked grave.
He was married to Nancy DAILY on Nov 26 1809 in Laurens Co., South Carolina.
Nancy DAILY was born about 1790 in North Carolina. John Daniel
