He appeared on the census in 1860 in Walker Co., Alabama. Census shows age as 25. He died on May 16 1864 in Tennessee. Died in the Civil War. Family moved to Fayette Co., AL.
Killed in the Civil War. Company K, 43rd Alabama Infantry Regiment and died at Drewrys Bluff.

He was married to Mary A. HOGUE (daughter of George HOGG, SR. and Louisa). Mary A. HOGUE was born about 1841. She appeared on the census in 1860 in Walker Co., Alabama. Elias SWINDLE and Mary A. HOGUE had the following children:
