6. John SWINDLE was born in 1648 in North Hampton, Virginia. He died about 1700 in North Hampton, Virginia. John Swindell --- 1834fgr
John Swindell was still on the Eastern shore of VA. in 1700 when he witnessed the will of John Tilney of Nassawaddox. Interestingly enough a Timothy Swindell was transported by Joseph Bayly in 1667-8 to VA. the same year John was married. HIGH TIDES fall 1987, page 3

In 1702 John Swindell is transported into BATH County, N.C. and in the same year proved headrights to 240 acres. He could be the father of the Thomas Swindell who in 1729 is stated to be a Cooper in Beaufort Precinct, Bath County who purchased 100 acres of the Pamplico River from James Singleton of Beaufort Precinct.

He was married to WILLIS (daughter of George WILLIS) in 1668 in North Hampton, Virginia. WILLIS was born in 1649 in North Hampton, Virginia. She died about 1700 in North Hampton, Virginia. Her father gave her and her husband a cow for a wedding present in 1668 in Old Hampton Co., Va. John SWINDLE and WILLIS had the following children:

child9 i. (Son) SWINDLE was born in 1673 in North Hampton, Virginia. He died in 1750 in North Carolina.
