41. Samuel (Samues) SWINDLE
was born between 1768 and 1778 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. He appeared
on the census in 1800 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. 26 to 45 in 1800. He died
about 1807 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. Samuel in believed to have come to Bladean
Co. from Hyde Co. area during the late 1700's.

Samuel Swindell, son of Josiah Swindell, Sr., was married to Eleanor, daughter
of William Carawan, by 1793. He first appears in Hyde's census in 1800. He
is 26 to 45 years of age and lives with a female 16 to 26, 2 males under 10,
and 2 females under 10. Samuel Swindell is mentioned in the minutes for May
Court, 1801, when it was recorded that he was paid La 50 for serving as pole
inspector. Letters of Administration were granted to William Carrawan and a petition
to lay off one year's provisions to Eleanor and five children were recorded at
February Court, 1804.
He was married to Eleanore CARAWAN (daughter of William
CARAWAN) before 1793. Eleanore CARAWAN was born about
1756 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. She died about 1820 in Hyde Co., North Carolina.
