320. Anthony Austin Captain
of Militia was born about 1636 in Bishopstocke, Hampshire, England.
He removed form Charlestown, Massachusetts to Rowley, Massachusetts in 1666.
He was make a "freeman" there in 1669. He was an original proprietor
of Suffield, being granted by the committee of Suffield, Mass., at thier meeting
of 17 July 1674.
He was the first Town Clerk of Suffield, in which office he served continuously
until his death. anthony was a Sargent of a "foot company" at suffield
"as late as 30 Ma 1678." He was elevated from Lieutenant and then
to captain in the militia. He died on 22 Aug 1708 in Suffield, Hartford, Mass.
He was married to Esther Huggins on 19 Oct 1664 in Rowley, Mass.
321. Esther Huggins was born in 1642/43
in Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire. She died on 7 Mar 1697 in Suffield, Hartford,
Mass. Children were:

Richard Austin was born on 22 Sep 1666.

Anthony II Austin was born on 7 Dec 1668 in Rowley, Mass. He died on 9 Jan
1731/32 in Suffield, Hampden, Mass.

John Austin was born on 22 Oct 1672.
