18. Seth A MARVIN was born in 1761 in GOSHEN, Orange, NEW YORK. He died on 21 Jul 1865 in Pierpont Cem., Pierpont, Ohio. He was buried in Pennline, Crawford, PA. He has reference number 18. Seth Marvin, 1761 - 1865 Pierpont, Ohio was the first generation of Marvins to live in Ashatubla County, he was the fifth generation of Marvins in America. The first record of the Marvins Family is in Essex county near Harwich, England. The first American ancestors came to Connecticut, in 1635 from Roydon Hall, Ramsey, England and the house is still standing today. It is now a 250 acre dairy farm.

Secorn generation was John 1453-1503.

Third generation John born 1480.

Fourth generation Reynold, 1514, owned various lands, married Johan, and had six children.

Fifth generation Edward 1550-1616, man of considerable property, owning land and housed in various parishes which he bequeathed to his sons. Married Margaret who survived him. He died in Great Bentley and buried in St. Mary's Church Yard. There were seven children.

Sixth generation in England and First in America Matthew I. 1600 in England 1680 in Connecticut. Youngest son of Edward and Margaret, married Elizabeth, then Alice Kellogg, he sailed on the Increase on April 15, 1635. He had eight children.

Seventh generation, second in America Matthew II 1626, died 1712 in Norwalk, Conn. Was one of the first settlers of Hartford, Conn. His wife's name was Mary, and they had six children.

Eight generation, third in America John - Sergt. born Sept 2, 1678 in Norwalk, Conn., married Mary Beers in Fairfield, Conn. Died Feb 9, 1774 in Sharon, Connn. He had fourteen children.

Ninth generation, fought in America David Marvin - Capt., in the Rev. War, born 1711 died 1779 in Wilkes Barre, Pa., during smallpox epidemic. He married Hannah Gregory and had eight children.

19. Mercy Ann NOBLE was born about 1760 in Plymouth, Luzerne, Pa. She died on 15 Jun 1826. She has reference number 19. Children were:
